Rick & Craig

Rick and Craig started their partnership in 1977. For 15 years, they built custom homes for clients while also developing their own projects. Since 1992, they have focused solely on their own development projects. Rick and Craig’s development projects have created 150 moderate cost housing units and rehabbed an additional 62 units in the Santa Cruz area. These units were all built or rehabbed without the aid of fee waivers, grants or any government subsidies. These projects were a combination of rental and for sale housing. These units provide housing for some of our communities best – teachers, nurses, police, firemen, County employees, engineers, retirees, Section 8 residents and many more. Rick and Craig have been recognized with SCOPE awards for their design and quality leadership, and for providing much needed moderately priced housing.

"I have lived at and managed Acorn Court Apartments here in Scotts Valley for almost two years. It is a beautiful, well maintained property that is a pleasure to call home.
As a manager, I take pride in advertising and renting apartment homes that I feel confident about. We offer spacious two bedroom, two bath apartments that have granite countertops; washer and dryers in the unit, private balconies, and only one shared wall with your neighbors. Additionally, included with all apartments are a good sized storage unit and one long reserved parking space in the parking garage so residents can park tandem style. In my experience, residents have been happy about the extra storage and tandem parking arrangements as it gives them the ability to have a reserved area that can fit two cars and gives them security in knowing they won’t be without a parking space. I have never had a complaint about this parking style.
Acorn Court Apartments is a sweet little haven in Scotts Valley that our residents are happy to come home to."
